Health care is a competitive field, so you need qualities that set you apart from other applicants. Health care employers are looking for applicants who have the required education in addition to work experience and training in both clinical and office tasks. At Bauder College, we offer the professional education and hands-on experience that may help you become a medical assistant.
Prepare for Your Future
Medical assisting is a career that offers a bright future. In fact, the U.S. Department of Labor cites it as one of the fastest-growing careers over the next decade due, in part, to an increasing number of elderly patients who require frequent medical office visits. Our Medical Assisting Certificate program is your chance to train in a field that will be in demand for years to come.*
Educational Advantage
Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for an entry-level position as a medical assistant. Upon completion of this program, you will be awarded a certificate in medical assisting. If you would like to earn an associate's degree in this career field, we offer an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting program, which offers additional clinical and administrative courses to prepare you for your future career as a medical assistant.
Professional Tasks
This curriculum includes courses that could prepare you to assist the physician in physical examinations and minor surgery and with EKGs, vital signs, and laboratory testing. You will also receive training on how to keep the medical office running smoothly.
